Salzgitter to invest USD723 million in new green steel facilities in Germany

The funds will be used to achieve a 30% reduction in the company’s steelmaking CO2 emissions by 2025

German steel company Salzgitter announced via press release on 13 July that its Supervisory Board had approved the release of USD723 million (EUR723 million) for funds for investment in the first development stage of the company’s SALCOS green steel project.
