Salzgitter secures funding from German government for upcoming green steel plant
The funding will be used to accelerate installations of its new electric arc furnaces and hydrogen-based iron direct reduction plants
German steelmaker Salzgitter announced via press release on 15 September that the state government of Lower Saxony and the German federal government had agreed to provide the company funding for its decarbonization plans.
