Alcoa to restart San Ciprián aluminum smelter using renewable energy in 2024
Supply of wind energy from Greenalia is expected to help the aluminum producer stabilize energy costs at its Spanish site
American aluminium company Alcoa announced via press release on 19 May that it had signed a long-term renewable energy purchase agreement with Galician green energy company Greenalia to support the planned 2024 restart of its San Ciprian aluminium smelting facility in Spain.
