The internationalization and globalization of automotive suppliers remain fundamental to the survival and future success of these companies, according to Rafael Martinez Tomas, head of communications and government affairs at Grupo Antolin.

Speaking at the 16th European Automotive Congress (EAC), in Madrid, Spain, Tomas noted that tier companies with a global reach could offer more of what OEM (original equipment manufacturer) car companies were looking for in a supply partner, such as a proven R&D function and logistical flexibility, while those same suppliers would achieve risk diversification through having a wider global footprint.
