Novelis pledges minimum of 10% of its primary aluminum purchases be near-zero by 2030

The US company, as part of its new membership within the First Movers Coalition, aims to decarbonize the upstream primary metal industry

American aluminum company Novelis announced via press release on 31 May that it had pledged to incorporate a minimum of 10% near-zero (less than 3t CO2 per ton) primary aluminum in its purchases from 2030 as part of its membership within the First Movers Coalition (FMC).
