Android Auto - Making car's smarter since 2015
Android Auto is anticipated to witness significant market growth owing to more app support, continuous research & development and increasing OEM collaborations.
Google announced Android Auto at Google I/O in June 2014 with the aim to make driving safer by minimizing distractions. Nearly a year after it was announced, Android Auto was launched on its first production vehicle, the Hyundai Sonata. It takes the best of Android smartphones via a mobile app, organizes it into simple cards, and mirrors it directly into the car’s dashboard. It has a home screen, integrated Google Maps, and support for several audio applications, such as Spotify and YouTube Music. It also uses voice control extensively, so the users can keep their eyes on the road. It allows user to read and reply to messages, launch any app, navigates to a location, plays music, or listen to podcasts, with a simple voice command.
