ACEA raises concerns over potential new tariffs in US on vehicle and auto parts imports from EU
Reaction follows submission of report on the section 232 national security investigation into motor vehicle and auto parts by US Department of Commerce to the White House
The European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA) has expressed its concerns about any potential new tariff on imports of vehicles and auto parts in the United States from the European Union (EU), according to a press release by the Brussels-based association of vehicle manufacturers on 19 February. ACEA’s statement came after the United States Department of Commerce submitted a report to the White House earlier this week on the section 232 national security investigation into motor vehicle and auto parts.
