The company’s new process can create functioning 100micron length micro-light sources for AD, AR, and VR applications

Kyocera Corporation has developed a new thin-film process technology for making unique silicon (Si) substrates for gallium nitride (GaN)-based micro-light sources, including short-cavity lasers and micro-LEDs, it said in a press release on 2 November.
