This week at the Society for Information Display’s annual Display Week 2016 symposium and exhibition, it was clear that automotive displays are at the top of everyone’s list of talking points. As sales in mobile phones and tablets slow down globally, the opportunity is rich for the automotive sector to relieve the display suppliers’ excess capacities in small and medium display fabs. Many of the major panel suppliers devoted whole sections of their exhibits to automotive displays in production or the innovations targeted for the automotive sector.
