India approves USD10-billion plan for semiconductor manufacturing
At least 15 compound semiconductor and semiconductor packaging units should be established with government assistance
According to a Reuters press release dated 15 December, India has approved a USD10-billion incentive plan to attract semiconductor and display manufacturers, the country's technology minister said on Wednesday, as part of a stepped-up push to establish the country as a global electronics production hub.
