Government of India receives 10 bids with 130GwH capacity under PLI scheme for advanced batteries
Interested companies are required to set up a battery manufacturing facility within a period of two years
In an important announcement on 15 January 2022, the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India (GOI) said that it has received bids from a total of 10 companies under the ‘Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) Battery Storage Programme’, which aims to create a large-scale electric vehicle battery manufacturing ecosystem in the country.
