Intel planning semiconductor manufacturing unit in India

The scheme for establishing semiconductor and display fabs in India will provide eligible applicants with fiscal support of up to 50% of project costs

According to a 29 December press release, chipmaker Intel intends to establish a semiconductor manufacturing unit in India and is likely to apply for incentives under the new scheme to promote manufacturing for the development of a sustainable semiconductor and display ecosystem.
