NavInfo to supply mapping solutions to BMW for autonomous driving in China
NavInfo will provide HD map and related services for the BMW Group’s vehicles featuring Level 3 and above autonomous driving capability
NavInfo has reached an agreement with BMW to supply mapping solution for self-driving cars in China, Reuters reported last week. The Chinese mapping company entered the supply deal with BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co to provide high-definition (HD) maps and related services for the BMW Group’s vehicles featuring Level 3 and above autonomous driving capability. The German automaker plans to begin sale of such vehicles in the Chinese market from 2021.
