Daimler, Geely form JV to launch premium ride-hailing services in China
The ride-hailing service fleet will initially include Mercedes-Benz S-Class, E-Class and V-Class and Maybach vehicles and could be supplemented by premium EVs from Geely Group
Daimler will form a joint-venture (JV) with Chinese automaker and one of its key investors Geely Holding Group to launch a premium ride-hailing services in China, the German automaker said in a press release today. The JV, to be headquartered in Hangzhou (China), will be equally owned by Daimler Mobility Services, the mobility business of the German automaker, and Geely Group Company, a new business entity of Geely Holding.
