BMW, Daimler receive regulatory approvals for joint mobility company

Two automakers plan to complete the transaction by 31 January 2019

The US competition authorities has approved the merger of BMW and Daimler’s mobility services businesses into a joint-venture (JV) in which the two automakers will have equal stake, BMW and Daimler said in a press release on 19 December. The European Commission (EC) has already approved the planned merger. With approval from US authorities, BMW and Daimler have received all regulatory approvals for the merger.
