Synopsys expands semiconductor IP portfolio with acquisition of Intrinsic ID
The acquisition complements Synopsys' extensive semiconductor IP portfolio, which includes logic libraries, embedded memories, analog IP, wired and wireless interface IP, security IP, embedded processors and subsystems
Synopsys has acquired Intrinsic ID, a provider of Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) IP. The acquisition adds PUF IP to Synopsys' broad semiconductor IP portfolio, enabling designers to protect their systems-on-chips (SoCs) by generating a unique identifier on chip using the inherent and distinctive characteristics of every silicon chip, according to a March 20 press release.
