Volkswagen, Xpeng sign technical agreement, finalize framework for collaboration
Under the new agreement, the two carmakers plan to jointly develop two midsize electric cars for the VW brand, the first of which is going to be an electric SUV
Europe’s largest carmaker Volkswagen Group and China’s electric carmaker Xpeng Motors have signed a technical cooperation agreement for joint development of platforms and software, achieving another important milestone in their strategic partnership, the two companies said in a joint announcement on Feb. 29.
