SAIC Volkswagen to launch EVs in China by 2026
SAIC Motor and Volkswagen plan to develop plug-in hybrid and pure electric models, aiming to strengthen their position in China's competitive EV market
SAIC Motor, a Chinese car manufacturer, and its German partner Volkswagen have entered into agreements to jointly develop three plug-in hybrid and two pure electric vehicle models in China through their joint venture, SAIC Volkswagen. This initiative, announced as SAIC Volkswagen celebrates its 40th anniversary, aims to launch the first of these models by 2026.
