On June 25, Volkswagen Group and US-based electric carmaker Rivian Automotive announced their plan to set up an equal joint venture company that will focus on developing the next-generation electrical and electronic (E/E) architecture and software solutions that will be central to upcoming electric vehicles from both the carmakers.
