CATL focuses on innovation and overseas investments to keep growing
CATL is aiming to become a global battery supplier by offering easily manufactured, low-cost solutions that meet the range and safety requirements of most customers worldwide.
Mainland China-based battery-cell maker Contemporary Amperex Technology Ltd. (CATL) is already one of the leading lithium-ion (Li-ion) cell suppliers to the automotive industry. Established in 2011, CATL catered to more than 29% of the demand of Li-ion batteries from the light-vehicle segment in 2022. The company competes with suppliers such as LG Energy Solution, Samsung SDI and Panasonic.
