Baosteel to set up 1 MTPY DRI plant in Zhanjiang, China for green steel production
The plant will reduce emissions by reducing iron ore with increasing amounts of hydrogen and capturing the CO2 generated.
Italian industrial equipment supplier Danieli announced via a press release on 22 July that Chinese steelmaker Baosteel will be partnering with Tenova and Danieli to set up a new direct reduction plant in the Zhanjiang Economic and Technological Zone in Guangdong Province, China.
