Panasonic’s announcement to set up a second battery plant in the US comes five years after it began producing lithium-ion batteries at its first plant, Panasonic Energy of North America (PENA), which is located in Nevada
Japanese conglomerate Panasonic Holdings Corporation plans to invest USD4 billion in building its second electric vehicle (EV) battery production plant in the US, its subsidiary Panasonic Energy Company Ltd announced on 14 July 2022.
