GM is investing to renovate and retool the facility to produce stator module, a key part in electric motors used in its Ultium platform based EVs

US carmaker General Motors plans to invest around USD154 million in its Western New York Lockport Components plant to renovate the facility and purchase and install new machinery and equipment used in the production of the stator module, the company announced on 21 January 2022.
