South Korean Internet company Naver plans to develop high-precision map for self-driving cars
Company plans to build a digital layout of 2,000 km long streets by acquiring geographic data via area and land devices
Naver, a South Korea-based Internet company, has unveiled A-CITY roadmap for commercialization of autonomous driving, The Korea Herald reported on 25 June. As part of the roadmap, the company’s research and development (R&D) subsidiary Naver Labs plans to create a virtual map of Seoul with 10-centimeter accuracy.
