While battery cell-makers from Greater China, US, Europe, Japan and South Korea are aiming to put ASSBs into mass production from 2027, manufacturing, technological and cost related barriers continue to exist

South Korean battery-makers are working overtime to put solid-state batteries into mass production, along with developing new innovative chemistries to achieve quick charging times. The InterBattery 2024, which was organized in Seoul, South Korea, between March 6–8, saw South Korean battery companies demonstrating the latest innovations in battery technologies, in addition to unveiling their business roadmaps through this decade.
