VW Group to establish software development center in Lisbon
New center to employ 300 IT specialist, who will develop cloud-based software solutions for the Group’s corporate processes and connected vehicles
Volkswagen Group (VW) is setting up a software development center in Lisbon, Portugal for the Group IT and its subsidiary Man Truck & Bus, the company said in a press release on 17 April. In the medium term, the center will employ 300 IT specialists, specially software engineers, web developers and user experience (UX) designers, who will focus on developing cloud-based software solutions for further digitization of corporate process within the group and for connected vehicles.
