Volkswagen Truck & Bus, Hino Motors sign strategic cooperation framework agreement
Companies plan to evaluate technology cooperation on conventional powertrains, hybrid and electric powertrains as well as in connectivity and autonomous driving
Volkswagen Truck & Bus and Hino Motors— the commercial vehicle subsidiaries of the Volkswagen (VW) Group and Toyota Motors— have signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement (SCFA) to build a mutually-beneficial long-term partnership and cooperate in key areas including future logistics, transportations and procurement, VW said in a press release on 12 April. Volkswagen Truck & Bus and Hino will evaluate technology cooperation on conventional powertrains, hybrid and electric powertrains as well as in connectivity and autonomous driving.
