Valmet completes construction of body shop for Mercedes-Benz GLC production at Finnish plant
Company to begin production of Mercedes-Benz GLC early next year
Valmet Automotive has completed construction work of a new body shop at its Uusikaupunki plant in Finland as it gears up to begin production of Mercedes-Benz GLC sport utility vehicle (SUV) early 2017, the Finnish company said in a press release on 8 December. The company claims the dedicated body shop for Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV with 316 robots is the largest in Finland. The GLC body shop brings the total number of robots at Valmet’s Uusikaupunki plant to 600.
