Daimler considers Sprinter production in South Carolina
Daimler spokesperson declined to comment on the report
Daimler is considering starting production of Sprinter vans at its plant in South Carolina (United States), state representative Chip Limehouse was quoted as saying by Reuters. Limehouse added that the commencement of Sprinter production would add around 1,200 jobs in the state. He further stated, "Daimler will be using US parts and assembling the entire vehicle here." A Daimler spokesperson declined to comment on the report but added that the company had scheduled a press conference regarding an announcement this week.
