Daimler in advanced talks over establishing manufacturing plant in Russia
Reportedly looking at three sites to establish a plant to manufacture Mercedes-Benz passenger cars
The president of the Russian state investment agency Yury Spiridonov has stated that Daimler is in advanced negotiations over establishing a manufacturing site in Russia, according to an Itar-TASS news agency report. Daimler is reportedly looking at three sites to establish a plant to manufacture Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. Spirido said, "The negotiations continue. Moreover, I should say their representatives are constantly present in the city of St. Petersburg. They are considering 3 regions." He added that the other possible sites are the city of Kazan and the Sverdlovsk region.
