Xpeng plans to produce EVs in Europe
Xpeng is set to face an additional tariff of 21.3% over and above the regular duty of 10% that is applicable for all mainland Chinese EV makers
Chinese electric-car maker Xpeng Inc. is exploring the local manufacturing of electric vehicles in Europe, in order to bypass the recently imposed additional tariffs on the import of made-in-China EVs into the EU region, according to a news report published by Bloomberg on Aug. 26.
