Volkswagen says all EVs sold in South Korea are powered with locally sourced batteries
The disclosure on battery sourcing follows a government recommendation that all manufacturers selling EVs in South Korea must voluntarily disclose battery information
Volkswagen’s South Korean unit has disclosed that all the 14 models it sells in South Korea, including the Volkswagen ID.4 and the Audi e-Tron S, are equipped with domestically sourced batteries from LG Energy Solution and Samsung SDI, respectively, according to a news report published by Business Korea on Aug. 14.
