BASF abandons plans to invest in lithium mines in Chile
The move follows BASF’s official announcement last week that it scrapped a joint plan with Eramet SA for a $2.6 billion nickel-cobalt refinery in Indonesia
Germany materials company BASF has abandoned its plans to invest in lithium mines in Chile, as a slowdown in electric vehicle adoption worldwide drags down battery metal prices, according to a news report published by Mining.com on July 2.
