European Investment Bank provides €20 million in loan to GDI to develop 100% silicon anodes
GDI’s technology has the potential to produce silicon anodes that increase Li-ion cell-energy density by over 30% compared with today's graphite anodes
The European Investment Bank (EIB) and US-based battery-material technology company GDI have signed an agreement where the bank will provide a quasi-equity loan of €20 million to support the development of GDI's next-generation silicon anode technology for electric vehicles, the company announced Jan. 10.
