The Japanese government to deepen relations with three African countries to build an African supply chain capable of extracting, refining and transporting critical minerals

The Japanese government plans to work with three African nations with an aim to establish reliable supply chains for cobalt and other critical minerals that are used in manufacturing electric vehicle batteries, according to a news report published by Nikkei Asia on August 2.
