Genomatica, Aquafil begin pre-commercial plant-based polyamide 6 production
Pre-commercial production of polyamide 6 is based on the renewable building block caprolactam
Genomatica (Geno) has announced in a press release on 20 July that it partnered with Aquafil and completed the first demonstration scale production run for plant-based nylon-6 at an Aquafil facility in Slovenia.
