Alcoa to restart aluminum smelting plant in Brazil
The restart follows a surge in the price of aluminium caused by production cuts in China.
American aluminum producer Alcoa announced via press release on 20 September that it will be restarting 268,000 metric tons per year of aluminum capacity at the Alumar smelter in São Luís, Brazil immediately.
