The new investigation includes vehicles assembled by over 15 automakers

According to an ETAuto press release dated 20 September, US auto safety investigators have opened a new investigation into 30 million vehicles built by nearly two dozen automakers with potentially defective Takata air bag inflators, according to a government document seen by Reuters on Sunday.
