The Indian economic conditions have improved over a period of years owing to the stabilized political scenario in the country. GDP growth is on the rise and has been supported by external factors such as sharp decline in prices of commodities including crude oil. However, the sharp slowdown in retail transactions during November and December 2016 period due to demonetization impacted manufacturing sector which included automobile production in India. The effect of this slowdown is expected to impact LV production for Q4 2016 and Q1 2017. The situation is expected to improve over the next quarters owing to the new product launches scheduled in 2017 and also as the effect of demonetization wears off.

The report looks at the overall Indian automotive supplier industry covering suppliers and component outlook. The report also determines the key growth areas, drivers and road blocks for the supplier ecosystem and analyses their impact in the near future.
It also shares insights on the light vehicle sales and production along with key trends seen in light vehicles penetration in India.
