Volkswagen partners with Carmel in US to test new machine vision software

Volkswagen Group of America has tied up with the city of Carmel in Indiana for a research project using existing city cameras and machine-vision software to help optimize traffic flows, analyze street usage patterns, and support emergency response, according to a 26 May press release.
