Metal suppliers in Japan, including automotive aluminum and steel manufacturers, are expecting a gradual pickup in demand, driven by recovery in vehicle production after a sharp decline in April–June 2020 quarter due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Reuters reported on 17 August.
