Both automakers and automotive supplier manufacturing plants are either working on a lesser production capacity or have temporarily suspended manufacturing activities. Additionally, a combination of stringent federal laws, employee health concerns, and a decrease in consumer demands, promise to cap production capability in the short term, resulting in lasting major supply chain disruption.
