German carmaker operates three R&D centers in China

BMW has officially opened a new research and development (R&D) center in Beijing, China as part of its strategy to expand local innovation, the German carmaker said in a press release on 15 May. The 17,000-meter square center, located in Beijing’s Shunyi District, will focus on testing and validation as well as development of services and systems. The R&D center will house more than 200 employees.
