Volvo Bus has received an order for 13 electric buses from Sweden-based bus operator Nobina, Green Car Congress reported on 23 June. According to the report, the buses are expected to start operation in the Swedish city of Malmö by the end of 2018. The buses in question are the 7900 Electric bus series from Volvo which reduces 80% energy burden when pitted against a corresponding diesel bus, the report claims. These will also run on green-electricity in order to minimize environmental impact.
