UK’s BT Group abandons plan to turn street cabinets to EV charging points
After converting only one of the aimed 60,000 cabinets, BT shifts focus to enhancing Wi-Fi at EV charging stations, amid project challenges and changing priorities
BT Group announced the discontinuation of its initiative to convert street cabinets, traditionally used for phone and broadband cables, into electric vehicle charging points after completing only one conversion out of the 60,000 it initially aimed for.
