The Japanese government anticipates 41 million SDVs in use worldwide by 2030 and targets 12 million of them to be made by Japanese automakers

Japan aims to achieve a 30% share in software-defined vehicles (SDVs) by 2030, according to a draft strategy for automotive industry digitalization set to be released by the Japanese government shortly, The Japan News reported May 20.
