Unveiling its strategy to put the UK at the center of its electric vehicle (EV) game plan for Europe, Nissan, along with its battery partner Envision AESC, made a crucial announcement on 1 July to jointly invest GBP1 billion (USD1.37 billion) in the northeastern region to set up the country’s first EV ecosystem of such scale.
