Recall affects certain vehicles from the 2006 through 2012 model years

The US auto safety regulator National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has asked Ford to recall nearly 3 million vehicles with potentially defective Takata airbags, according to a Reuters report on 19 January.
