Recall affects nearly 2.7 million vehicles in US and 0.3 million vehicles in Canada and other locations

Last week, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) asked Ford to recall nearly 3 million vehicles in the United States to replace defective airbag inflators supplied by erstwhile Japan-based supplier Takata Corporation.
