FCA’s USD4.5-billion investment at US plants to support electrification of Jeep vehicles
Automaker claimed its all three assembly sites in Michigan would also produce plug-in hybrid version of their respective Jeep models with flexibility to build fully battery-electric models in future
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has announced plans to invest USD4.5 billion in its five existing plants and in setting up a new plant Michigan, United States, the automaker said in a press release. The new plant will be established in Detroit. The investment will allow FCA to increase production capacity to meet growing demand for its Jeep and Ram brands and also pursue electrification of its Jeep models.
